Yrma Lydya, a Mexican regional singer, was the victim of femicide on the night of June 23 at the Suntory restaurant in Colonia del Valle, on the corner of Magdalena and Torres Adalid, in the Benito Juárez City Hall.

The Benito Juárez Mayor’s Office identified the alleged perpetrator as Jes Hernández Alcocer, the young woman’s supposed sentimental boyfriend. The suspect was detained and transported to the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for the Investigation of Feminicide Crimes.

Lydya, who is originally from Mexico City, has already been invited to Grandiosas, a show in which Dulce and other singers such as Roco Banquells, Manoella Torres, and Mara Conchita Alonso perform.

The first facts were provided by Mexico City’s Secretary of Citizen Security (SSC), Omar Garca Harfuch, via his Twitter account, where he stated that “a man shot his wife three times, he is already imprisoned.”
