In his sophomore year, Willis was named a first-team All-American, and he was in the final for the Heisman Trophy. He finished his college career with 2,067 rushing yards, and 31 touchdowns, meantime managing to graduate with a major in Criminology.

Willis’ professional playing career began in 2003, but after an injury made his career doubtful, from possible top five picks he fell to the 23th position of the 2003 NFL Draft, in which he was selected by the Buffalo Bills. He missed the entire first season because of the injury, but in the 2004 season Willis played in all 16 games, recording an incredible 1,128 yards, with 13 touchdowns. He continued successfully in the next two seasons, but after making a thoughtless comment about the city of Buffalo and how the Bills should move to Toronto, he was traded to the Baltimore Ravens. Regardless, his net worth was well established.
