Viktor Hovland’s caddie is Shay Knight, a professional golfer from Norway. Find out more about Shay Knight and Viktor in this article.
Viktor Hovland (born September 18, 1997) is a professional golfer from Norway who competes on the PGA Tour. By earning the 2020 Puerto Rico Open, he became the first player from Norway to win on the PGA Tour.
By winning the 2021 BMW International Open, Victor also became the very first Norwegian to triumph on the European Tour. Hovland won the Mayakoba Golf Classics, his second and third PGA Tour victories. He also took home the United States Amateur.
Following the 2019 U.S. Open, Hovland turned professional and made his official debut in June at the Travelers Championship. He thus forfeited his automatic entrance into the 2019 Open Championship.
Hovland finished tied for second at the Albertsons Boise Open, which was part of the Korn Ferry Tour Finals in August. This performance earned him a PGA Tour card for the 2019–20 season. Hovland achieved a PGA Tour record with 19 straight rounds in the 60s at the CJ Cup in South Korea, which he completed in the second round.

Shay Knight is the caddie of professional golfer Viktor Hovland. However, he isn’t listed on Wikipedia yet.
In early 2019, the Norwegian had his Oklahoma State collegiate coach, Alan Bratton, on the bag, but as he prepared to become a pro, he sought a more permanent caddie.
Shay Knight has been a caddie for around 14 years and has worked with players like Matt Jones, DJ Trahan, Aron Price, and many more before joining Hovland. Following their introduction at the Mayakoba Golf Classic, the duo finally forged a partnership courtesy of Rickie Fowler’s caddie, Joe Skovron.
