Sandra Kraykovich is a 38 years old woman charged with killing her daughter due to lice infestation.
The mother proved to be a parent who didn’t care for her children leading to the death of her 9-year-old daughter. The daughter’s identity is yet to be disclosed by the Police.
On investigation, it came to light that, Sandra knew her daughter was sick and needed medical attention, but she didn’t go to the hospital.
Who Is Sandra Kraykovich?
Sandra Kraykovich is a woman from Arizona who has been put behind the bars for the negligence shown to her daughter. She and her mother, Elizabeth Kraykovich, is deemed responsible in the death of her nine-year-old child.
Sandra and her mother Elizabeth were initially arrested in March for child abuse as emergency personnel found her daughter unresponsive with bugs on her face.
Kraykovich’s daughter was sick as she was suffering from anemia, vomiting, fever, headaches, and had trouble keeping her balance. She was aware of her daughter’s condition and told her boyfriend about it.
But even knowing such bizarre condition of her child, she didn’t go to the hospital for her treatment, which led her to be unresponsive. When 911 attended to their call, they did everything to bring her back but later declared her dead at the scene.
Mother Sandra Kraykovich Arrested For Daughter’s Death From Severe Lice Infestation
Sandra Kraykovich, the mother, and Elizabeth Kraykovich, the grandmother of the deceased child, were initially arrested for the child abuse as she was declared dead by 911.
The 911 saw that 9-year-old was having bugs crawling upon her face, and on closer inspection, they found lice in her head. On her autopsy report, it was revelead that her death occurred due to anemia which was linked to the infection from her lice infestation.
One of the examiner’s doctors also revelead that the child had fluid buildup in her lung tissue, pale skin and organs, liver necrosis, and an iron deficiency.
Is Sandra Kraykovich Facing Murder Charges?
According to the law and crime, Sandra Kraykovich has been initially charged with a child abuse charge and is now also facing the first-degree murder charges.
Sandra’s older children also told police that she had endeavored to treat the lice of her departed child using mouthwash. She was inattentive to her child, and the Pima County Medical Examiner also determined that the cause of death was neglect.
She has two children, aged 11 and 13, and they both are also suffering from lice infestation. Her children’s custody has been given to the family member. Sandra is currently in the Pima County Adult Detention Center on a $55,000 bond.
