Aubrey Haive is a professional drag queen who will feature in Season 2 of RuPaul’s Drag Race Down which premieres on July 30 with nine other drag contestants. Before appearing as a drag queen, she had established herself as a freelance graphic designer. She grew up in a small town, Timaru, but now resides in Victoria, where she is chasing fame in the drag race.
Her real name is Bailey Dunnage. Dunnage attended Mountainview High School in 2010 and studied web pages, digital/multimedia, and information resource design for four years. After that, he decided to pursue his love of dance and art by enrolling at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. After that, he earned a bachelor of arts in musical theater.
As a queer child growing up in a tiny town like Timaru, Aubrey found it quite tricky. She dismissed any claims that she was queer since she had been taught and had observed that being queer was undesirable. She was one of the very few in Timaru who participated in the community musicals and took dancing courses, so it was clear that she wasn’t like most others. She mentioned that it did feel quite alienating at times.
She established quite a reputation for himself by frequently playing around Timaru, which led to the realization that one benefit of living in a small town is that when the good people of the neighborhood support you, they do so wholeheartedly. After completing her degree, Aubrey experienced working in a variety of industries in 2018. Before January 2020, she was employed as an inbound sales representative at Red Energy.
