A 26-years-old Miami Beach doctor-in-training, Alan Li, has been arrested after an Ohio woman sent in a tip alleging that he attempted to buy underage girls as sex slaves. Here’s what we know about him.
Alan Li is a south Florida doctor who came into the spotlight after being arrested and charged with attempted sex trafficking of a young lady. Also, he is a former resident at Miami Beach’s Mount Sinai Medical Center who was fired and arrested on May 12.
So, he was charged with attempted sex trafficking of a minor under 14 and tried intimidation or inducement of a minor. An investigation of Li started on March 12 after a woman from Ohio, an attendant whom he met through a dating site, reached federal agents to report Li’s investigation of underage girls in Miami.
Furthermore, Li contacted the woman via Snapchat and said he was trying to help a friend, Michael Chen, whom he put in touch with her due to her own trafficked experience.

An arrest testimony says that the investigation into Li, then a townie at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, on March 12 when an Ohio woman reached federal agents to say Li desired young girls in the Miami area for a friend.
The lady told investigators that she met Li more than a year ago on a dating site and had been with him for a night. When she told him she had been sex-trafficked as a child but failed contact until Li reached out to her in March.
The woman told investigators she suspected Li and Chen (Li’s friend) to be the same person, and agents discovered that Li would log out of his Snapchat profile and log into one set up for Chen on the same IP address reported to his home.
After contacting the FBI, the lady let an undercover agent handle her Snapchat account. The undercover agent then set up Chen with a phone number for another agency, posing as a trafficker. Reportedly, Chen consented to pay $500 for sex with a 12-year-old for an hour, preferably using Bitcoin or cash, so he didn’t have to exit his social security number. Then he consulted with the trafficker about a long-term setup like the live-in condition he said he had in Ohio with a 13-year-old girl.
They agreed to meet on April 12 for the one-hour deal, but Li/Chen canceled and contacted a woman to find out how trustworthy the trafficker was. The agent contacted Li or Chen again on April 29, and they talked back & forth about available girls before Li or Chen again decided on a meet-up, which also never occurred.
Agents detained him on May 12 after completing that even though none of the strategies he made with the trafficker came to completion, they had enough proof to show he tried trafficking. And now Li is due in federal court on Friday.
