Who Are Marcus and Jane Buckingham? Meet Lilia Buckingham Parents
Marcus Buckingham and Jane Ruth Buckingham welcomed their daughter, Lillia, into the world on April 9, 2003, in Los Angeles, California. Her parents are also authors.
Marcus is a British-born author, motivational speaker, and business consultant. He is the author of numerous books, including First, Break All the Rules (1999), and StandOut 2.0. The Modern Girl’s Guide to Life & The Modern Girl’s Guide to Sticky Situations are both written by Jane.
Four Seconds of Fame, a piece by Jane about Lilia and her family’s experience when she unexpectedly became famous, was published in May 2013 on HuffPost.
Marcus was raised in the Hertfordshire village of Radlett after being born in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. His father was the director of personnel at Allied Breweries.
In the beginning, Buckingham struggled with his stammer and claimed he could not talk until the age of 13. When he was asked to address other boys in a formal manner at his prep school, he figured out how to handle it and pretended he was speaking to just one person rather than 300.
Jane Has Served In Prison Several Times
On March 12, 2019, Buckingham was detained for her involvement in a scam involving the bribery of college admissions.
Without her son’s knowledge or agreement, Buckingham gave a $50,000 donation to the Key Worldwide Foundation for College Counseling in order to set up a proctor to take the ACT on her son’s behalf.
To make her son feel he had taken the ACT, Buckingham gave the proctor a sample of her son’s writing for him to copy and had her son take a practice test. Buckingham consented to enter a guilty plea in April.
Judge Indira Talwani of the U.S. District Court gave Buckingham a sentence of 21 days in jail, a $40,000 fine, and a year of probation on October 23, 2019.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office requested a six-month prison term, claiming Buckingham had a deeper involvement in the fraud’s mechanics than many other parents involved in the case.
They said that by having a proctor take the exam on her son’s behalf, she denied him even the chance to answer any questions on his own correctly.
Marcus is a New York Times Best Seller Author
Donald O. Clifton, the creator of Selection Research, Inc. and a professor of educational psychology, recruited Buckingham while he was a student at Cambridge. To help organizations recognize talent in people and connect them to the appropriate roles, Clifton co-founded SRI.
In 1988, SRI purchased The Gallup Organization and used the Gallup moniker. As a Gallup employee, Buckingham joined a team developing a poll that examined various elements that affect employee engagement.
First, Break All the Rules, which Buckingham co-authored with author Curt Coffman, was published in response to these surveys and thousands of manager interviews (Simon and Schuster, 1999). The book explains what the world’s finest managers do differently per its subtitle.
Over a million copies of the book have been published, and it is now a New York Times best-seller. In their book of the same name, Jack Covert and Todd Sattersten selected it as one of “The 100 Best Business Books of All Time.”

Lilia Buckingham Boyfriend Jaeden Martell
Lilia had previously been associated with young actor Jaeden Lieberher. Jaden’s birthday was on January 4, 2018, and she uploaded a photo of him along with birthday wishes.
On Valentine’s Day, Lilia tweeted a picture confirming their relationship. They had been dating for a while. They later split up due to issues not made public on social media.
Lilia is openly homo. She also dated the on-screen Jillian Shea Spaeder. In the second season episode titled “Unhappy Campers” of Nickelodeon’s comedy series “Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn,” Jillian Spaeder made her acting debut as McKenna in 2015.
She decided on “OMG!” as her next endeavor since it would allow her to play various roles. She made her big-screen debut in the 2016 film “Theatre and Me’s the Bully,” which was directed by Marcus A. Siler.
Lilia and Jaeden Martell also had a romantic relationship.
Lilia Buckingham in Hocus Focus 2
Cassie is Lilia’s newest character in the eagerly anticipated “Hocus Pocus 2.” Since “Hocus Pocus” was initially released in 1993, audiences have wished for a follow-up, and it has been a classic Halloween film ever since.
Everyone is anticipating this year’s Halloween season after the sequel’s announcement. As luck would have it, Buckingham didn’t get her big break into Hollywood until much later than she had intended.
The once-aspiring actress was happy to have put the drama on the back burner in favor of everyday college life after switching her attention to production by obtaining a degree in film and television until she received the call to audition for Hocus Pocus 2.
Buckingham’s initial submission for the part of Cassie Traske, one of three best friends who team up to save Salem from the Sanderson sisters (along with Gossip Girl’s Whitney Peak and Appeal’s Belissa Escobedo), was a historic moment in and of itself, but it only served as the beginning of a grueling seven-round audition process.
Rise To Fame
Before she turned the age of 20, Lilia joined a franchise with millions of fans, collaborated with notable Hollywood figures, and added a Disney credit to her resume.
Even though Buckingham could not imagine a finer official career launch, the newcomer is wise enough to avoid getting ahead of herself.
Buckingham intends to finish her degree, enjoy the present, and use the lessons she gained from the fantastic experience in whatever life throws her as she continues to hone her art and work toward her next project.
Young talent wouldn’t just be able to break into Hollywood by appearing in a long-awaited sequel to a beloved Disney film with a cast that is the definition of the legendary (Sarah Jessica Parker, Bette Midler, and Kathy Najimi, to mention a few). Buckingham was sure to treat it that way because that would be the way.
