Marie Antonette is a historical drama filmed in and around different locals in France. BBC has brought a new series to nestle down this winter.
The series story is about the last monarch of France before the French revolution. The Austrian-born Marie Antoinette became the queen as she got married to Louis-Auguste, the heir to the throne at the age of 14. Her mother wanted to maintain a peaceful relationship between the two countries. But she quickly discovers that the French courts are dangerous, and she must struggle not only to get her way but also to survive.
Famous author and screenwriter Deborah Davis created and wrote the French-British period drama series. He is best known for his 2019 creation The Favourite. The show is directed by Geoffrey Enthoven and Pete Travis and the production companies include the BBC, Capa Drama, and Canak+.
The series is released in eight episodes with an interesting plot that includes the history of the then Monarchy of France to some extent.

Marie Antoinette was filmed in Châteaux of Versailles, Vaux-le-Vicomte, Palace of Fontainebleau, Lésigny, Champs, and Voisins.
The filming of the series Marie Antoinette has begun after the announcement in September 2021. Reportedly it was also filmed at the studios of Bry-Sur-Marne.
The series premiered in October in France before it started streaming in the UK on the 29th of December 2022. About the United States it will be available only after the new year 2023.
The series will be available on French networks Canal+, Foxtel, Binge, PBS, BBC Two, and iPlayer.
