Virgil Abloh was a successful fashion designer turned entrepreneur recognized for his high-end designs and limited-edition items. On November 28, 2021, Virgil died of cardiac angiosarcoma-related cancer complications.
At the age of 47, the Louis Vuitton-affiliated designer was found deceased in his Chicago home. He was also the CEO of his brand Off-White and the coveted post of Louis Vuitton’s Managing Director.
For over half a decade, the artist kept his cancer fight a secret until his diagnosis updates were eventually made public in 2019.
Who is Grey Abloh: Virgil Abloh 4-Year-Old Son
Virgil Abloh has a son aged 4-year-old, Grey Abloh, with whom he enjoys his free time. After dating for over four years, the designer was married to his long-term girlfriend, Shannon Abloh, in 2009.
Grey grew up in the Chicago suburbs, where Virgil was assigned the role of brand manager. Shannon, Grey’s mother, was born in the Wisconsin area in 1981 and is a well-known Monster program manager.
Shannon was accused to Yahoo as its media manager and account planer plus manager when Grey’s parents first met. Grey was given his own signature shoes, and premium fashion wears by his father, demonstrating Virgil’s affection for his young son.
Despite the fact that Grey’s father’s health was rapidly deteriorating, Grey’s life was never unhappy, and the designer kept the diagnosis updates strictly hidden.
Grey also has a younger sister with whom he is growing up in the fashion-obsessed cityscapes of Chicago heights.
So very sad as my daughter at age 13 knew who Virgil Abloh was and loved his fashion designs-Off-White and Louis Vuitton…..too much talent lost way too soon!!! https://t.co/1UMkl5H3Nd
