NBC Dateline will tell the story of the 2014 Maine home invasion where a man broke into his wife’s friend’s house to kill her. Gregory Owens reportedly shot his wife three times while her friend suffered a gunshot wound on his arm.
Further evidence suggested that Gregory was living a double life. He was having an affair with a woman named Betsy for almost five years with a different name and identity. The convict’s girlfriend broke their relationship after learning about his wife. As a result, the man attempted to kill his wife.

Gregory Owens is currently serving a life sentence for the attempted murder of his wife.
During his trial, Owens was found guilty of trying to murder his wife who had early dementia. He was also found guilty by a jury of interstate domestic violence, as well as using a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence.
NBC’s Dateline will air the story of Rachel Owens this Friday. Reports say that the woman still has a bullet stuck to her skull. It was a mircale that she survived the horror in 2014.
Her husband pled his innocence even after the conviction. He cried and even apologized to his wife but the jury was convinced that the evidence presented was more than enough to convict him.

Rachel and Gregory Owens were married of 36 years when the latter shot and tried to kill his wife.
Originally from Londonderry, New Hampshire, Greogory broke into his wife’s friends home in Saco where she was staying on Dec. 18, 2014. He wore a face mask when he shot his wife along with the homeowner, Steve Chabot, three times each.
Luckily both of them survived. Rachel was in a serious condition when she was rushed to a nearby hospital. But she survived. According to ther family, a part of the bullet is still stuck in her brain.
This all started with the double life of Gregory Owens. With his wife of 36 years at one side, he was having an affair with someone named Betsy. He had hidden his identity from his girlfriend and they were dating for over 5 years.
But one day, Betsy suspected that Gregory was lying to her and decided to end the relationship. He then went on to murder his wife in Maine. His wife wa sufferring from early dementia at the time.

Rachel Owens shared a son with her ex-husband. His name is Wayne.
During his father’s trial, Wayne had a few words to say. He said, ” I think this has brought us together, unfortunately, it had to be under these circumstances that made us, I think, tighter as a family.”
“I think we’ve come out stronger, and we’re going to continue to be there for each other and just move on and just close this chapter in our life. We’re lucky to have her with us still.” Wayne added.
