Trevor Noah had surgery on 23 November this year making him sick and his fans worrying about what happened to him.
Trevor Noah is now suing the orthopedic surgeon over an alleged botched surgery that caused serious personal injuries which are permanent, severe, and grievous.
The lawsuit further adds that the hospital and surgeon failed to prescribe proper medications, discontinue certain prescription medications, and do proper testing in order to diagnose the conditions.
What Surgery Did Trevor Noah Get?
The South African-American TV host and comedian, Trevor Noah had surgery this year on 23 November to be exact. But it is not stated what kind of operation he had or what his condition was.
As per the reports, the doctor specializes in knee, shoulder, and elbow surgery, so we can assume it could be one of these. Moreover, orthopedic surgeons can treat a number of body parts such as bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, and muscles.
He has filed a complaint last month mentioning negligence after having serious personal injuries upon his recovery from surgery. He has alleged that such ailments left him rendered sick, sore lame, and disabled.
The Daily Show host has claimed that he also has sustained severe nervous shock, mental anguish, severe emotional distress, and great physical pain amid his recovery.
He further adds he was confined to bed and home for a long period of time and has been prevented from engaging in any sort of work.
The documents provided also indicate that some of his injuries are permanent and he will suffer similar damages in the future.
Trevor Noah Lawsuit Against Doctor Riley Williams III
Trevor Noah has officially filed a lawsuit against a New York City-based orthopedic surgeon Dr. Riley Williams III amid the botched surgery.
He is also suing the hospital where the doctor performed the procedure for Special Surgery located in New York City.
The lawsuit was filed by HSS, a Health Support Services, on 29 November in the New York County Supreme Court. He is represented by Justin Blitz of Schulman Blitz LLP.
It is stated that they were negligent and careless in failing to treat and care for him in a skillful manner.
But in response to the comic suit, the hospital representative has denied any claims of wrongdoing calling them meritless.
Trevor Noah Illness and Health Update
Trevor Noah must have suffered from illness of either knee, shoulder, or elbow as the doctor was an orthopedic surgeon. Amid his surgery, he has not been doing so well.
He says he cannot engage in any sort of activity and has been limited to his bed. He cannot even go to his work which he adores so much.
So far he is in a state of shock, pain, and distress from the trauma.
