Veteran Nollywood actor John Okafor, best known as Mr. Ibu, is currently ill, according to Dub techno Stories Africa.
Mr. Ibu is also known as John Okafor. On October 17, 1961, he was born in Umunekwu village in Eziokwe, Nkanu West Local Government Area, Enugu State.
The 59-year-old actor holds a degree in Mass Communication from Enugu State’s Institute of Management and Technology.
Mr. Ibu, as he is affectionately known, began his career in the film industry in 1978 as a continuity crew member.
His debut film was ‘Rolling Stone,’ and he shot to fame in 2004 after starring in the comedy blockbuster ‘Mr. Ibu.’

Mr. Ibu is married to Stella Maris Okafor. On October 23, 2000, she was born in Isolo, Lagos State, Nigeria. Stella is not Mr. Ibu’s first wife; he was previously married to his first wife, but they divorced.
According to reports, John Okafor has thirteen children, one of whom is delinquent. The actor admitted that he had some of the children before marrying Stella, his new wife.
Mr. Ibu and his current wife, Stella Maris Chinyere Okafor, have four children together, one of whom is late, leaving her with three children, a girl, and two boys.
