What Happened To James Mault & Cody Mattice?
Five individuals, including one police officer, died in the Capitol riot on January 6. Despite Joe Biden’s election victory, organizers were encouraged by former President Donald Trump’s calls for them to join him in protesting the 2020 election results.
Trump supporters staged a coup and stormed the Capitol as members of Congress gathered inside to approve the results and confirm Biden’s victory. Following the riot, many people who participated attempted to erase hard drives that would have pictures and other evidence of their involvement.
They smashed their telephones and cleaned up their social media profiles, whereas some bragged about their involvement. But, thanks to that, the work for the FBI to find them and file charges against them later became easier.
According to Yahoo.com, more than 876 people have been accused of involvement in the riot thus far. And James Mault and Cody Mattice have been identified as those who were involved in the January 6 riot.
The press report claims that after breaking into the Capitol, Mattice stretched out to another rioter, seized a small device like a canister, and sprayed police officers with chemical spray. Likewise, Mault also obtained a second canister from the crowd and gave it to a different rioter.

News sources reported that the two sobbed and begged Chief U.S. District Judge Beryl A. Howell for mercy. They kept crying as Howell upheld their prison sentence.
