Ted Levine Silence of the Lambs

The Silence of the Lambs is a 1991 American psychological horror film that was directed by Jonathan Demme, script written by Ted Tally, based on Thomas Harris’s 1988 novel that shares the name. Ted is one of the starring characters in the film.

In the film, Clarice Starling who is a young FBI trainee, looks for the advice of the imprisoned Dr. Hannibal Lecter (a brilliant psychiatrist and cannibalistic serial murderer to apprehend another serial killer, known only as “Buffalo Bill”, who kills his female victims’ corpses.

The novel was Harris’s first and second respectively to feature the characters of Starling and Lecter, and was the second adaptation of a Harris novel to feature Lecter, preceded by the Michael Mann-directed Manhunter. The film was released on 30th January 1991 in New York City later released to United States on 14th February 1991. Levine portrayed Jame “Buffalo Bill” Gumb in the film.
