Tanya Haden who was born on the 11th day of October 1971 is versatile and has many sides to her personality. She is an American singer, artist and cellist. She was born in the city that never sleeps – New York. Like almost all American singers, she began her career as a member of various groups, including the famous 90s group, “let’s go sailing” and her creative streak extended until she created the imaginary bear puppet show.
She was not just a high school dropout singer but she followed her passion for music and creative arts by going to college to hone and improve her talents and skills. She received an MFA degree from the Institute of Arts, where her major was experimental animation.
After college, she focused mainly on her work in the visual arts by participating in various exhibition fairs, including one at the Las Cienegas projects in 2010. She made further progress in 2015 when she was chosen by the Rosamund Felsen Gallery where she held a single exhibition fair for her drawings.
Her cello skills were tested when she played extensively in the Los Angeles area and also when she became an additional member of the Silversun Pickups band. She also recorded with an indie-folk band from Los Angeles by the name of Seawolf and also followed that up by playing cello for an album by Los Angeles-based rock band The Warlocks – Surgery which debuted in 2005. February 2014, she teamed up with her sisters to release their debut album on the 4th of the same month, the record was produced by Ry Cooder and went on to showcase the sisters in a unique light by featuring them on their various instruments.

Tanya Haden was born to jazz bassist CharlieHaden. His mother’s name is Ellen Haden. She is part of the Haden Triplets: made up of two other sisters named Rachel and Petra Haden and the trio are musical icons who perform together. For the past two decades, they have provided us with vocals and instrumentation, both individually and as a band.

She also has another brother – a brother who is also a guitarist, named Josh Haden. His paternal grandfather was Carl Haden and Virginia Haden is his grandmother. His brother Josh as mentioned earlier is a vocalist and bassist and on top of that he is a member of a band in Spain.
