Tanja Babich anchors ABC 7 Chicago’s Eyewitness News in the Morning from 4:30 AM until 7 AM and again from 11 AM until noon. She joined the station as a general assignment reporter and contributing anchor in January 2014.
She attended Cornell University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Government. After graduating, she nearly became an intelligence officer. She then did a Master’s Degree program at Northwestern University’s prestigious Medill School of Journalism.

They tied the knot on 8 July 2018, she has been blessed with three daughters and of the three two are known as Adelaide Babich and Lola Babich who are from her previous relationship. Together with Paul, they have been blessed with a daughter who they named Josephine Emily, born on May 22, 2019. She resides in Chicago together with her family.
