The police chief of Jupiter, Florida, announced that he would face two misdemeanor charges on February 22, 2020. The charges he would receive for “soliciting another to prostitute himself,” stemming from a human trafficking bust in Jupiter. Investigators kept tabs on the Orchid of Asia day spa for more than eight months as they reported large-scale prostitution. Thus, on August 19, 2020, Kraft’s constitutional rights were violated when police obtained specific video footage, according to a Florida appeals court, and the video would not be admissible in court. On September 24, 2020, it was revealed that the charges against Kraft had been dropped due to lack of evidence. After that, the district court ordered the destruction of Orchids of Asia video records of Kraft and other customers.
