Ray Johnston Net Worth, Income, Salary, Earnings, Biography

Raymond “Ray” “Ray” “Ray” “Ray” “Ray” Originally from Bristol, England, Stephen Johnston (born 5 May 1981) is an English football goalkeeper who most recently played for Tiverton Town. Johnston began his professional footballing career as a member of the Bristol Rovers youth squad, with whom he ultimately earned a professional contract in 1998. In spite of the fact that he was a former England schoolboy international, Johnston was only able to make one league appearance for the Pirates, a 4-3 win against Macclesfield Town in 1999.

He joined Bath City in 2002 and appeared in six games for them. When first-choice goalie Mark Hervin was unavailable, he stepped in. Because of an injury suffered at the start of the 2003 season, Johnston was forced to accept a move to Bishop Sutton. Along the way, Johnston played in a few minor roles for teams such as Weston-super-Mare and Frome Town. At the start of the 2005 season, Ray signed for Clevedon Town and went on to play in 41 league games for them, as well as nine cup games. While Johnston was Clevedon’s first-choice goalkeeper, he was instrumental in the club’s promotion to the Southern Football League Premier Division in 2011. He was mysteriously released from his contract before the start of the next season. The former England international returned to Frome Town in October 2006, but he was out the door before the season ended the following year. On 29 January 2007, Gloucester City put in a seven-day notice for him, according to reports, and he signed up with The Tigers shortly after. On the 3rd of February, 2007, he made his professional debut with Gloucester. Eventually, Johnston found himself at Tiverton Town, but manager Martyn Rogers dismissed him after the arrival of Steve Book and Johnston’s failure to completely recover from an Achilles tendon injury as well as ankle issues. During the 2011 season, Johnston took over as manager of Toolstation Western League Division One club Portishead Town. Johnston took over as manager of Wells City FC, a team that competes in the Toolstation Western League Premier Division, before the start of the 2012-2013 season.
