In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Petroleum and Gas Engineering under the Faculty of Engineering, Environment & Technology in the above Universities include;
Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) UNILAG requires English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics.
ii) UNIPORT requires Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics
O’Level Requirements
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Petroleum and Gas Engineering;
You require;
five SSCE credits to include Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English Language and any one Science subject.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) NTNU – Same as in Computer Engineering.
(ii) UNILAG requires ‘O’ Level credit pass in Further Mathematics.LAGOS requires ‘O’ Level credit pass in Further MathemaTICS
(iii) NMU requires five (5) credits at SSCE or its equivalent in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Agricultural Science/Further Mathematics/Data Processing/Technical Drawing.
(iv) UNILAG requires Five O/Level credit passes in English, Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. (x) PHC requires Five (5) SSC credit passes to include Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English Language and any other subject from Biology, Agricultural Science, Technical Drawing, Further Mathematics
Direct Entry Requirements
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Petroleum and Gas Engineering, if you don’t intend to use UTME.
You require;
‘A’ level passes to include Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) UNILAG accepts Very good passes in JUPEB subjects: Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry. A ‘level Cambridge HND/ND (Upper credit).
(vi) NTNU – Same as in Computer Engineering.
(iii) UNIPORT accepts Three (3) Advanced level GCE or HSC or JUPEB or IJMB passes in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, including UTME entry requirements. OND (upper credit) in the relevant discipline from a recognized and COREN accredited institution including UTME entry requirements. HND (lower credit) in the relevant discipline from a recognized and COREN accredited institution with two (2) years working experience including UTME entry requirements
