Perrie Edwards is a British singer best known as a member of ace girl band Little Mix formed on the 8th season of X Factor UK in 2011. The band went on to win the competition, making them the first band to do so.
Since winning the contest, Perrie and her bandmates have garnered a lot of attention from the media, who continue to release records every year.

Edwards was born as Perrie Louise Edwards on July 10, 1993, in South Shields, Tyne & Wear, England, United Kingdom. Her parents Alexander Edwards and Deborah Duffy, both music lovers, named her after Steve Perry of the band Journey. She has an older brother named Jonnie as well as a younger half-sister Caitlin Edwards who her father had with another woman.
Perrie was born without a sense of smell. Once she spoke about it in an interview: “I never smelled anything, but I think I smelled coffee once. When people go, “Ah, she’s cooking a Sunday roast,” I know, how do you know? It’s amazing, it’s magic. »
However, her inability to smell didn’t kill the star within her. Perrie started singing at an early age. For her primary education, she attended Radipole Primary School in Weymouth, Dorset, then transferred to St. Peter and Paul RC Primary School, where she graduated.
She attended Mortimer Community College where she studied performance arts. After five years, she transferred to Newcastle College where she eventually graduated, earning a BTEC (Extended Diploma) in Performing Arts.
Edwards individually auditioned for the 8th season of X Factor UK and was successful. However, she was unable to complete the first challenge in the bootcamp section. As a result, she was teamed up with four other girls to form a Rhythmix group.
After some changes within the group, Perrie, alongside three other girls, Jade Thirlwall, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jesy Nelson, became a member of the group until the shows.
They then had to change their name to Little Mix at the request of Rhythmix, an already existing children’s music charity in Brighton.
Little Mix received generally rave reviews throughout the season and ultimately emerged victorious. They signed with Simon Cowell’s Syco Entertainment and have had huge success so far. They broke records set by the Pussycat Dolls of America and the Spice Girls of Britains. Having sold over 40 million albums worldwide, they have become one of the best-selling girl groups of all time.

During her time on X Factor, Perrie met a lead singer Zayn Malik. The pair soon began dating and garnered huge media attention. Their relationship looked set to last forever when they got engaged in 2013. Sadly, in August 2015, the two had separated in a split that sparked intense media interest.
Malik moved on to model Gigi Hadid (they broke up in 2016), while Perrie was later linked to a number of characters including Jed Elliot, Skins actor Luke Pasqualino.
At the end of 2016, she started a relationship with English football star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. However, they initially kept their relationship a secret. Sources close to the songbird told the press that her private life with the relationship was due to the intense media interest in her split from Zayn Malik.
They (Alex and Perrie) didn’t even follow each other on social media. However, time passed and in January 2017 she posted her first photo of Alex on her Instagram page, confirming the rumors.

He joined Liverpool in August 2017. Chamberlain’s move meant the couple had to be in a long-distance relationship. However, Perrie told Mirror it wouldn’t be a problem to say so; “I don’t think it will be difficult. It will be different, but that’s not a problem,” she said.
