Dr. Gail Milligan, a partner in the Camberley Health Center’s general practice, was discovered dead in Bracknell from an apparent suicide after going missing for about 24 hours.
Milligan, a Wokingham woman, worked as a GP trainer, and her clinical interest included liver disease and contraception. She was a highly educated woman. In 1998, Dr. Milligan graduated from Manchester University. She completed her GP training in Reading and began working at Camberley Health Center in 2003. Her clinical interests include liver illness and contraception. She trains general practitioners.
She also sits on the Surrey Heath Clinical Commissioning Group board on behalf of Camberley Health Center.

Camberley GP, Dr. Gail Milligan, was discovered dead from what appears to have been a suicide in Bracknell on Thursday morning, July 28, after going missing for over 24 hours. A well-educated doctor passed away when she was 47 years old.
Police reported her missing at about 11 p.m. on July 27, 2022, and the Berkshire Lowland Search and Rescue team discovered her corpse in a woodland close to Foresters Way in Bracknell. She is not the first committed doctor to die by suicide as a result of the unjustified demands in the system, according to sources.
Gail put a lot of effort into her job. Previously, she would leave for work at 6:45 and wouldn’t return until between 19:30 and 20:00. She worked Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday each week. She would work for almost 12 hours on Thursday, attending meetings on Zoom and Microsoft Teams and making endless phone calls and emails. Thursday was her leisurely day off.

Her coworkers made every effort to rescue her from the situation. They attempted to convince her that her perception of the problem was incorrect and offered to take over for her.
It was too late when they discovered what had happened, and she committed the most horrifying act of violence to end her life.
