Alicia Cardenas was a professional tattoo artist. She was the co-owner of Sol Tribe Custom Tattoo and Body Piercing.
Reportedly, she worked in the body modification industry all her life. In 1994, she had kicked off her career after working for Bound By Design.
After one year of continuous hard work, she began working professionally in 1995. Two years later, Alicia opened her shop named Twisted Sol which was the first-ever custom tattoo and professional body piercing studio in her city.
In 2009, she decided to step down from her job. Eventually, she moved down to Broadway and opened Sol Tribe with her longtime shop manager, Kevin Strawbridge.
Moreover, Cardenas was recognized for collecting several cultural artifacts. Often, she was spotted painting ancient-inspired geometric murals.
Furthermore, she was a lecturer of cultural studies and the body art industry. For more than 20 years, she also served as an instructor at the National Safety Council.
Also, Alicia described herself as a community advocate who didn’t hesitate to give back to her wonderful community. Indeed, she was deeply in love with her body modification journey and wanted to continue it.
