Why Is Michigan Governor Candidate Ryan Kelley Arrested?
According to the Detroit News, FBI investigators arrested Ryan Kelley, a real estate broker who was at the Capitol on the day of the January 6 insurgency, on unclear charges at his home near Grand Rapids, Michigan.
A basketball hoop was in the driveway and toys were in the front yard when the News 8 crew arrived at Kelley’s suburban Allendale house late Thursday morning. Near the residence, a big flag with the words “Ryan Kelley for Governor” flew.
Neighbors filmed what seemed to be FBI vehicles at the house. They can be heard in the background discussing how the officials are dressed in FBI coats.
Kelley works as a real estate agent. He used to be a planning commissioner for Allendale Township, but he no longer serves on any township boards.
After being seen at the riot at the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021, he has been chastised.
What Charges Is Ryan Kelley Facing?
According to The Court documents, Ryan Kelley is charged in federal court for various charges under the United States Capitol rules.
Ryan had entered the US Capitol ground knowingly to conduct disorderly and disruptive conduct and engage in physically violent acts against persons or property on the premises. In addition to that, he had conducted acts of willfully injuring or attacking United States property.
During a live stream in January 2022, he was also questioned about his ties to paramilitary organizations and for inciting potential poll workers to interfere with polling devices.
“My message was that if election workers foresee fraud, they should fix the damage,” Kelley told News 8 following the live. “I completely agree with you. The left is furious that we are reclaiming the narrative, and we will not let them steal another election.”
Kelley’s misreading of election regulations, according to Republican Ottawa County Clerk Justin Roebuck, is disturbing and potentially damaging to democracy.

What Is Ryan Kelley Net Worth?
Ryan Kelley’s net worth is unknown at this time. As a real estate agent and a contender for governor of Michigan, he must, nonetheless, make a respectable living.
However, his earnings and wealth could be lowered as a result of the present scandal in which he is involved.
Kelley, a real estate agent, rose to popularity in conservative circles in 2020 after organizing a Michigan Capitol demonstration against COVID-19 legislation and fighting the removal of a Confederate statue in his hometown.
Kelley may be seen climbing on scaffolding and urging other protesters in a video taken outside the US Capitol on Jan. 6.
Despite flash-bang grenades, tear gas, and the appearance of riot police, footage from Jan. 6, 2021, showed Kelley among the mass of enormous crowds who surged toward the Capitol that afternoon, wearing apparel identical to those he wore at Michigan events.
