Matthew David McConaughey was born on the 4th day of November 1969 in Uvalde , Texas. He had his high school education at Longview High School, graduating in 1988. He then attended the University of Texas at Austin to study law. After two years of law school, McConaughey did not enjoy it, despite good grades.
One day he came across a popular self-help book from the 1970’s called The World’s Greatest Salesman . After reading the book, he decided to become an actor. With his parents’ blessing, he switched his major to film production and graduated in 1993.
