Matt Roloff Dating, Girlfriend, Internet, Divorce, Parents

Dwarfism is a condition that can be difficult to handle; at the same time, this genetic/medical disease has brought so much success to many people who have it. Besides popular actors and media personalities Peter Dinklage and Warwick Davis, Matt Roloff is another dwarf who rose to prominence because of his stature.

Like Davis and Dinklage, Matt is an all-rounder: He’s a motivational speaker, farmer, actor, entrepreneur, and author. However, his rise to stardom is tied to the reality TV series, Small People, Big World, in which he starred with his ex-wife and children. You will learn more about Roloff in this article.

the biography

The hyphenated star was born in SanFrancisco, California on October 7, 1961 and named Matthew James Roloff. The son of American parents, Matt, as his name suggests, was born with a degenerative dwarfism called diastrophic dysplasia which led him to undergo fifteen operations as a child.

The reality TV star is an American of Native American descent. There is no record of his attendance at any high school or college available.

Matt Roloff’s Parents

Matt Roloff is one of the children of Peggy Roloff and Ron Roloff. The two are also the parents of Ruth, Sam and Joshua Roloff. Ron and Peggy were also featured on Small People, Big World and are of average height like their daughter Ruth. However, their son, Sam uses crutches to walk as he has diastrophic dysplasia. He is the founder of Back-Story Underpainting and also an artist. Matt Roloff’s parents lost one of their sons, Joshua, in 1999. He was born with a severe heart defect and died aged 34.

Net value

From his farming business, writing career, reality TV show, motivational speaking career and other endeavours, Matt Roloff has amassed enormous wealth. His current net worth is estimated at $4.5 million. Despite his best efforts, it’s no surprise that Matt has amassed his impressive net worth.

Divorce

Until May 2016 when his divorce from his wife was officially finalized, Matt was married to a petite woman called Amy Roloff. Just like Matt, Amy has dwarfism as she was born with a short limbed form of dwarfism called achondroplasia.

The two first met in 1987 at a convention hosted by Little People of America. They got engaged soon after and ended up tying the knot on September 12 of the same year.

While their marriage lasted, the couple had four children together – Jacob Roloff (b. 1997), Molly Roloff (b. 1993) and fraternal twins Zachary and Jeremy Roloff (b. 1990). While Jeremy, Molly and Jacob are of average height, Zachary was born with achondroplasia, like his mother.

Matt and Amy announced in March 2014 that they had separated and announced on June 5, 2015 that they would be divorcing after 27 years together. Their divorce was then finalized in May 2016.

He’s dating, who’s his girlfriend?

Immediately after Matt and Amy announced their divorce, many of their fans started wondering whether they were going to date other people or not. Well, it became clear that former exes can still be loved by other people in 2017 when the curious public learned that Matt and Caryn Chandler, one of his longtime employees, were in a serious relationship. .

Prior to Matt and Amy’s divorce, Caryn was very close to the couple, but no one knows if she started dating Matt just before his relationship with his wife fell apart. Chandler, who serves as Matt’s farm manager, has spent over ten years at Roloff Farm and Matt thanks her for the success of his business.

Although it has not been confirmed, it is rumored that Matt and his girlfriend cheated on their spouse before their relationship became public information.

Before connecting with the Little People, Big World Star, Chandler was married to Joseph Chandler for almost 20 years. They also had two children – Brittany Chandler and Connor Chandler, who were not allowed to appear on reality TV.

While some fans see Caryn as a no-brainer, 4ft Matt has no problem with her dating her. Interestingly, Chandler shares a cordial relationship with Matt’s children, but his relationship with his boyfriend’s ex-wife is a bit strained.

Although no official announcement has yet been made, it seems that the controversial relationship between the two men may turn to marriage in the near future.
