Mark Sutcliffe (born July 14, 1968) is a Canadian politician, entrepreneur, business consultant, and former journalist who is the current mayor-elect of Ottawa.

The 54-year-old is a broadcaster and entrepreneur, working as a talk show host on Newstalk 580 CFRA and 1310 over the years and writing a column in the Ottawa Citizen.
Flanked by his wife Ginny and three children, Sutcliffe pledged to take a non-partisan approach to make life more affordable for Ottawa residents as inflation soars and the threat of recession looms over the economy.
“Many, many families are falling behind, finding it increasingly difficult to afford the basics like food and shelter,” he said. “We must make life more affordable for everyone by keeping taxes, recreation fees, and other costs as low as possible.”
CTV News Ottawa declared Sutcliffe the winner 25 minutes after polls closed at 8 p.m. Sutcliffe received 51.3 percent of the vote (161,679 votes), compared to 37.9 percent for McKenney (119,241).
