Justin Trudeau Bio
Justin Trudeau was born on Christmas Eve, 1971, at the Ottawa Civic Hospital. Interestingly, he is the second child in Canadian history to be born to a reigning prime minister. The first was Margaret Mary Theodora Macdonald, daughter of John A. Macdonald. Justin’s younger brothers Alexandre and Michel were the third and fourth children respectively. Justin is of Canadian nationality and of Scottish and French Canadian descent.
While growing up, Justin was enrolled in1976 and attended Rockcliffe Park Public School’s French immersion program. Shortly after graduating, he spent the next year at a French private school called the Lycée Claudel d’Ottawa. In 1984 his family moved to Montreal, where he also attended Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf, his father’s alma mater. Justin later earned a degree in literature from McGill University and another degree in education from the University of British Columbia.
After graduation, Justin stayed in Vancouver, where he began working as a substitute at local schools. He also worked as a math and French teacher at West Point Gray Academy. From 2002 to 2004 he studied engineering at the Polytechnique Montréal. He also began, but did not complete, a master’s degree in environmental geography at McGill. He suspended it for public office, among other things.
Political career
Justin Trudeau began his political career supporting Liberal Party leader John Turner in the 1988 federal election. After the death of his father, he became increasingly involved in the Liberal Party in the 2000s. Interestingly, he co-hosted a tribute to outgoing Prime Minister Jean Chrétien at the 2003 party executive. In 2006, he threw his support for Gerard Kennedy just before the 2006 Congress. However, when Kennedy dropped out of the race, Justin came to him to present the eventual winner to support Stephane Maurice Dion.
On October 2, 2012, Justin held a rally in Montreal to launch his bid for leader of the Liberal Party. After campaigns and matches against other candidates, he emerged victorious on April 14, 2013 with 80.1% of 30,800 votes. His political career took a positive turn in 2015 when he was appointed Prime Minister of Canada. Amazingly, he is the second youngest Canadian to hold the position after Joe Clark.

Justin Trudeau came from a line of politicians and was born Pierre Trudeau. His father was also a politician who served as the 15th Prime Minister of Canada. Notably, Pierre was the third longest-serving prime minister in Canadian history. He served the country for 15 years, 164 days. He was born on October 18, 1919 and died on September 28, 2000. His mother, Margaret Trudeau (née Sinclair), is a Canadian multi-talented actress, author, photographer, and media personality. She was born on September 10, 1948.
Justin’s parents were hanged in 1971 and were married for thirteen years before their relationship caught fire. They separated in 1977 and their divorce proceedings were finalized in April 1984. Meanwhile, Justin isn’t his parents’ only child. He has two other brothers named Alexender and Michel. Unfortunately, on November 13, 1998, Michel kicked the bucket. He died after being swept away by an avalanche while skiing in Kokanee Glacier Provincial Park. She is also an advocate for people with bipolar disorder who are diagnosed with her.

Justin Trudeau is married to Sophie Grégoire, a former talk show host whom he met as a child. She was his brother Michel’s classmate and childhood friend. In June 2003, they were reconnected as adults. Sophie has been hired to co-host Justin for a charity ball. They began dating months after the ball. They announced their engagement in October 2001 and tied the knot on May 28, 2005.
Together they have three children – XavierJames, Ella-Grace Margaret and Hadrien Grégoire. Their first child, Xavier, was born on October 18, 2007 and two years later, Ella-Grace on February 5, 2009. The baby of the House of Hadrien was born on February 28, 2014.
Is he gay?
While Justin Trudeau hasn’t come out to say he’s gay (possibly due to his marriage to his wife), he has openly spoken out in favor of gay rights. He is the first Canadian prime minister to ever take part in a gay pride parade. In July 2016, he took part in the Toronto Gay Pride Parade. He had previously taken part in parades in Vancouver and Toronto.
