He currently plays as a quarterback in the National Football League (NFL) when he was drafted in 2018. As a collegiate athlete, Josh played for Reedley Community College in California, recording 26 touchdowns and 285 yards and 66 rushing yards in a game.
Many people have dubbed him the great arm of the Buffalo Bills as a result of his incredible skill at executing a throw and his ability to control his arms while he’s at it. With such an amazing ability, one would bet Josh has an interesting profile despite being new to his team. Find out more about him here.
Josh Allen Biography
Allen Josh was born on May 21, 1996 in Firebaugh, California. Josh’s extended family emigrated from Sweden in 1907 and settled in Firebaugh, California. He grew up surrounded by farms as this had been his paternal grandfather’s profession since 1975. The quarterback graduated from Firebaugh High School in 2014 and attended Reedley College.
A die-hard Fresno State fan, he was a great praise to the college football team, attending their games as well as attending their camp events. After his father showed a keen interest in football, he tried as best he could to get him an athletic scholarship through Bulldog coach Tim DeRuyter, but was unsuccessful.
As the days went by, Josh never got any scholarship programs including the NCAA Division I program, however he received an offer from San Diego State which he turned down because he never saw any light on his career with them.
career statistics
Josh Allen played with alacrity in his freshman year, starting in two games with Wyoming. He was unable to continue that season as he sustained a collarbone injury that earned him a redshirt. The young footballer later returned to the game in 2016 and became a starter for the team and also led them to a bowl game. Josh played 14 games and recorded 56% of passes for 3, 203 yards throws, 28 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. A record in those games that wasn’t easily forgotten was his game against Brigham Young University, where he recorded 17 for 32 with 207-yard throws, two touchdowns and two interceptions.
As of 2017, he played in 11 games in which he completed 56.3% passes for 1,812 throws for yards, 16 touchdowns in addition to 6 interceptions. His performance was incredibly low, causing his yards per attempt to drop to two full yards and a recording 6.7.
Also, his team played the Cowboys in their bowl game, where Josh Allen recorded one of the most incredible numbers, going in an 11-to-19 win with 154 throws, three touchdowns and no interceptions. His record got him an audience with the NFL, and he also became a person of interest for the 2017 NFL draft. His dreams of joining the NFL that year were shattered when his father rebuffed him from his actions.
With so much deliberation, many people went on to explain why the quarterback pulled out of his dreams, leading to a report by American sportswriter and analyst Adam Schefter to ESPN that Allen is likely among the best prospects for the NFL draft the following year, and as he said: it was.
Josh Allen signed a four-year, $21 million contract with the Buffalo Bills after being drafted seventh overall by the NFL. He started the season in a game against the Baltimore Ravens, passing 74 yards 6-15. He kept a good pace and played against the Los Angeles Chargers and finished for 245 yards scoring 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions without missing an additional 32-yard rush.
His team then recorded a win against the Minnesota Vikings, where he had 196 yards and a touchdown and 39 yards and two rushing touchdowns.
scouting report
Everyone’s had a look at quarterback Josh Allen since he recently rose to fame. Billed as one of the Buffalo Bills’ big arms, he boasts a pair of arms that would deliver a massive setback, especially on a tight end.
A vertical throw by the quarterback easily hit a deep comeback when he pushed the ball with a calculated amount of power and pressure to get that height. Most quarterbacks haven’t picked up an excellent stretch, but Josh plays it with ease, especially on the field, and has also pulled off an amazing throwback that has wowed his audience throughout.
The soccer player weighs 237 pounds (108 kg) and is 6 feet (5 inches) or 196 cm tall. He ripped his physique to serve him well as a defense against his opponent on the field.
First of all, we still have the strengths that he has accumulated, I think he needs to work on his mental growth in order to achieve adequate attempts during the throws. He makes bad decisions especially when the ball gets away from him and also gives faulty passes.
Praised for the control he has over himself, he also needs to work on controlling his foot to achieve proper balance between his lower body and shoulders. Despite this, Josh Allen is still new to the game professionally. We hope he improves his skills and his game too.
girlfriend
Josh Allen is a handsome guy and when we say he doesn’t have a girlfriend we wonder how you would feel. He met his lover Brittany Williams (who claims she resembles Beyonce on most of her Instagram pages) at a game in high school. He had a crush on her the whole time and she was also a cheerleader at Fresno State University.
In April 2018, the duo celebrated their one year anniversary and uploaded several pictures that expressed their love for each other.
