Not much is known about his childhood or immediate life. Weatherall was born into a musically very connected family. His father designed the electronic sound systems used for concerts and worked as a DJ specializing in 80s high energy music, also known as Hi-NRG, as well as Italo Disco.

Growing up around a father heavily involved in music had a huge influence on Weatherall’s career. In 2015 he had his first single.

Much like information about his family, very little is known about his educational background.

Origin Of The Name – Ross Des Amis

The moniker Ross From Friends is something that has intrigued fans and like an urban myth, every time he is asked why he chooses to be called Ross From Friends, he tells a different story. One of the stories is about the Top Trump cards of the characters from the sitcom Friends. Another is to force watch the show because of a DVD stuck in a drive. Whichever version of the story is true, the name stuck.

On April 1, 2018, Mixmag magazine published a prank article that reported on a lawsuit filed by David Schwimmer, the actor who played Ross on Friends who was supposedly having issues with Weatherall.

Ross from Friends music career

His musical career officially began in 2015, with the release of Talk to me, you will understand. Prior to this release, he had worked with some bands and had a few solo projects, but his big break and announcement to the world came from the aforementioned song.

Talk to me, you’ll understand, took him more than six months to write and compose, however, all the time he spent making this song paid off as it garnered over four million views on YouTube. It was a feat for an underground artist on his first track. For the song, he drew inspiration from different sources and described the process of making this song as raw emotion.

However, after the success he had with the song he worked so hard on, he turned to other projects. One such project was Alex Brown which he released online with his own label called Breaker Breaker

Things were starting to look up for him and as he progressed as a musician he decided to spend more time doing gigs. The live performances involved a deconstruction of his music, stripping the electric elements from the songs and replacing them with more biography musical instruments, which he had managed to achieve with two of his friends.

He called the shows a three-man show and it was an idea he had been toying with for a long time. The deconstruction process took a total of four months, but it eventually came to fruition the way he wanted.
