Usually, that’s a story that doesn’t always end well. When I actually met Jason it was kind of looking like it could go either way. He’s a fantastic partner in crime, the most generous man that makes the world laugh and cry on a dime. Oh, and he’s a vicious negotiator. I have been in the room, and I have witnessed it. Do not poke that bear.
The part that I’m really the luckiest, that I get to witness as his friend, is Jason Bateman the husband, the fantastic father, the dear friend, and as we lovingly call him: Grandpa. He looks 12. He acts in 100. Ahead of hair that women envy. He works hard.
He’s tired. Even in his most restful state, he’s one of the loveliest men to be around. He always gives you deep connection, full attention, authenticity and some of the deepest belly laughs that I can remember. We are all so very proud of you.”

I’d worked so hard that by the time I was 20, I wanted to play hard. And I did that really well. I was never at a place where rehab would have been appropriate. Booze was what would make me want to stay out all night and do some blow or smoke a joint or whatever, so shutting that off was key.
It’s like ketchup and French fries – I don’t want one without the other.” Jason also revealed that partying and drug use almost cost his family as his wife gave him an ultimatum to quit partying after he went home late one night. He didn’t stop which prompted his wife to take a planned holiday in Mexico without him. It was then, alone on a rainy Christmas morning, that he decided to go to an AA meeting.
