Kelly Monaco is taking a short leave from the ABC soap opera General Hospital and will not be appearing on the handful of episodes.
Monaco, who had taken a similar leave earlier as well, has already returned to the set after a quick break.
Neither Monaco nor the General Hospital team had specified the reason behind her recent temporary leave.
She took a 14-day leave in August 2020 due to a breathing problem she had while wearing a mask. Monaco stayed in quarantine and returned to the set after 3 negative Covid-19 tests.
With her short leave, fans immediately thought if she was contracted with the virus again but Monaco has not revealed to have any breathing and health issues.
It appeared she just needed a quick break.

Lindsay Hartley replaced Kelly Monaco to play the character of Sam McCall when Monaco was on a short leave.
Despite Hartley being a new actor for the soap opera, she is not a rookie in the entertainment industry as she has a handful of experience including Passions, All My Children, Days of our Lives, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and Smallville.
Her portrayal as Sam McCall is set to air on the episode of February 3 onwards.
Monaco showed her support to Hartley where she tweeted McCall doing a good job.
