25-year-old Kankakee, Illinois, resident DeAngelo and Kathy Washington’s eldest child was named Sarah. Sarah Washington was found dead against the wall of her bedroom, with two gunshot wounds to the head.
When the police arrived, they discovered shell casings from a.380 caliber gun. Even though there was no forced entry, one of the pillows was covered in blood and had been shot.
Greg Dismuke allegedly cheated on Sarah at the time, and the authorities identified him as the primary suspect. Due to a lack of enough evidence against him, he was taken off the suspect list.

According to court documents, Rex Frank is incarcerated at the Menard Correctional Center in Randolph County, Illinois, where he was given a life sentence in prison in March 2019.
Rex Frank, a homicidal person, was found to have shot Sarah Washington to death. Rex was a friend of Sarah’s boyfriend.
Rex’s crimes were not discovered until he shot Rian Maiden a few days later. Rian, Rex’s second victim, was killed and robbed of the ATM card he had used to purchase jewelry for the woman he was dating.
Rex was the ultimate killer, as Rian was also killed with two bullets to the head, like how Sarah was.
The police concluded that Rex, who was mentally ill, had been picking on people to steal their cash and valuables.
