Jalen Da’Quan Carter, a defensive tackle for the Georgia Bulldogs football team, was born on April 4, 2001. He has won two national titles with the team, one in 2021 and one in 2022.
Nevertheless, a terrible automobile catastrophe that claimed the lives of two people occurred in the early hours of January 15, 2023, in the heart of Athens, Georgia.
As the Bulldogs had earlier in the evening celebrated winning their second straight national championship, the accident happened.
Police claim that Chandler Louise LeCroy, a University of Georgia employee driving a 2021 Ford Expedition, and Carter, who was operating a 2021 Jeep Trackhawk, were street racing when the accident occurred.
LeCroy lost control of her car while attempting to make a tight bend at high speed. Her blood alcohol level at the time of the accident was 0.197, more than twice the legal limit. Before slamming into an apartment building’s entrance, she struck at least two utility lines and trees and blocked the occupant until the debris could be removed.
Sadly, Devin Alex Willock, a Bulldogs football player who was riding in LeCroy’s automobile and was not buckled up, was thrown from the car. The accident claimed his life.
