Who Is Lionel Rose Wife Jenny Rose? 

Lionel was the first Indigenous person to win a title in a world championship sport. He is a legendary fighter to make a name in the history of Australia. 

Such a talent married his wife, Jenny Rose. The long-term couple shared a beautiful relationship with each other. 

Jenny was the daughter of a trainer Frank Oakes, who used to coach Lionel when he was 15. It appears that the couple knew each other from an early age. 

Not many details are available about Rose’s wife, Jenny, as the pair have kept their romantic life concealed. She was born in 1950 at Warragul, and it was there where she met her soulmate, Lionel. 

In one of the interviews of Lionel and Jenny by Rob Willis, Jenny has mentioned her early childhood and her family background too. She stated that she had always loved sports and eventually met with Lionel.

Lionel and his wife Rose have a son named Michael Rose. The couple welcomed their child into the family in 1974. 

Michael is the only son of the legendary boxer, Lionel. After his divorce from his wife, his son has looked after his poor health. 

The boxing legend died on 8 May 2011 after having a prolonged illness. He had a stroke in 2007 that impaired him for movement and speech. 

As per The Guardian, his son, Michael, helped him survive his illness as the couple ended up getting split. Rose had suffered from poor health for many months before his passing away.

Who Is Lionel Rose Family?

Lionel learned boxing from his dad, Roy. At the time, his father was a very skillful and talented fighter at the shows of a local house. 

Rose got his skills from his father and therefore started his boxing career early. Although not much is available about his mother, she seems like a caring and supportive person.
