Roy Hodges was the ex-husband of English actress and former UK politician Glenda Jackson.
Roy was a stage manager, actor and art dealer.
In 1957, Hodges and Jackson met in their repertory theatre company and quickly hit it off.
The pair tied the knot on August 2, 1958 at St Marylebone Register Office in London.
Through their union, Hodges and Jackson had one child, Daniel Pearce Jackson Hodges, a British newspaper columnist.
Hodges and Jackson, however, divorced on January 26, 1976.
Roy Hodges sued Glenda Jackson for divorce on the grounds of her affair with Andy Phillips, the lighting director for a production of Hedda Gabler which she was starring in.
In a 1997 interview with the Independent, Jackson was asked if she would describe her divorce from Hodges as “amicable” and she responded that “I wouldn’t go so far as to say that.”
Adding she still saw her ex-husband “occasionally.”
Roy Hodges reportedly died in June 2017.
