Gideon Mung’aro is the governor of Kilifi County. He won the country’s gubernatorial race following August 9, 2022’s General Election who was born as Gideon Maitha Mung’aro.
He is a Kenyan politician and CAS in the Ministry Of Lands, Kenya under the jubilee government since the year 2018.
He belonged to the CORD coalition under the Orange Democratic Movement and was elected to represent the Kilifi North Constituency in the National Assembly of Kenya in the year 2013 Kenyan parliamentary election. Gideon was the chairman of the African Union Parliamentary Group.
He was also the chief whip, succeeding Hon. Jakoyo Midiwo. He was a member of the Parliamentary House Business Committee (Housekeeping), Committee on Selection (Housekeeping), and the Lands Committee (Departmental).
Also, he is a former mayor of Malindi Town and represented Malindi in the last parliament previously it was split.
