Hood was arrested in January this year after the Dubai police found a vape liquid containing CBD oil in his car.
Per Dubai’s drug law, cannabis and cannabis oil are illegal in the country and there is zero tolerance if found so.
Per Hood’s side of the story, the vape belonged to his best friend who visited him. His friend Alfie Cain had visited him and accidentally left the liquid in his car while she returned to England.
After his arrest, Hood was introduced to physical beatings, tasering, and was provided with just bread and a little amount of water during his initial days in prison.
He was also forced to sleep on the floor with more than 30 other prisoners while he faced taunts from the prison guards at Al-Barsha prison.
The Arabic confession that he was forced to sign led to his 25-years prisons sentence that he had no idea of.
Thus, “Free Billy Hood” has become a trending matter on the web while Hood’s supporters pledge his story to be known by as many people as possible.
