Finland visa requirements for Laotians

• Laotians
  intending to travel to Finland for tourism purposes, sight-seeing
  and other recreational purposes are required to apply for the
  Finland tourist visa.
• Finland
  is a Schengen country so you can apply for a Schengen tourist visa.
• A Finnish tourist visa is valid for a duration of 90 days and the visa
  is not extendable.
• A
  Laotian passport with at least three months validity after exiting
  Finland and two blank pages for visa stamps.
• Recently
  taken passport photographs to be affixed with the visa application form.
• A
  duly completed and signed Finnish tourist visa application form.
• Applicants
  are expected to exit the country after the expiry of their tourist
  visa to avoid deportation or fine.
• The
  currency restriction for entry and exit from Finland is 10,000
  Euros.
• An invitation letter from a family member in Finland is required. The letter must show the full address and the contact details of the host.
• Bank
  statement from the last 6 months to show proof of sufficient funds
  to cover your entire duration of stay in the Schengen Area.
  Applicants are required to own at least 30 Euros per day to stay in
  Finland.
• Proof
  of accommodation or hotel reservations in the country.
• Copies
  of your round trip tickets and a detailed travel itinerary.
• Employed
  applicants are required to show a bank statement of the last six
  months, certificate of income tax returns, employment contracts and
  No-objection certificate from your employer.
• Self-employed
  applicants are required to submit a copy of their business license,
  their company’s bank statement of the latest six months and income
  tax returns.
• If
  you are retired, a copy of your pension statement of the latest six
  months is required.

• Finland
  business visa is a temporary visa issued to foreigners visiting
  Finland for business-related purposes. 
• Laotians in Finland on a business visa can attend business meetings,
  conferences, trade fairs and can sign business deals.  
• Applicants on a business visa are not granted permission to take up new employment opportunities in Finland.
• A
  valid passport with at least two blank passport pages is required.
• Recently
  taken passport sized photographs. 
• An
  invitation letter from the Finnish company you will be visiting, the letter should include the detailed address of the company as well as your intended dates of arrival in Finland.
• A
  letter from your employer allowing your business travel. The letter should state your current job position in the company.  
• Proof
  of previous business dealings between the Finnish company and the
  Laotian company.
• Bank statement from the last six months to show proof of financial status while in the country.
• The invitation letter must also mention how the expenses of the applicant will be covered during his/her travel. It must be clearly
  stated whether it will be sponsored by the employer or the Finnish
  company.
• Proof
  of paid Schengen Business visa application form.

• A
  completed and signed Student visa application form. 
• Letter
  of admission from an educational institution in Finland.
• Transcripts
  and certificates from your previously attended education
  institution.
• Proof
  that you have 560 Euro per month to support yourself financially throughout your studies in Finland.
• International
  passport valid for a duration of three months after your exit from the country, the passport must also have blank visa pages for entry and exit stamps.
• Two
  recently taken passport photographs not more than three months.

• Proof
  of paid visa application fees.

• Letter
  of admission from an accredited higher institution in Finland.

• Travel
  Health Insurance worth 30,000 Euros to cover accidents or illness during your stay in Finland and the entire Schengen countries.

• Flight
  itinerary or reservation document. The document should contain your flight number, the name of the airline and your entry date in the country.

• Hotel
  reservation document containing the name, detailed address and telephone number of the hotel.

• A
  cover letter stating your motive for studying in Finland and your reason for choosing the learning institution and the number of schools you applied to.

• Marriage
  certificate or children’s birth certificate to show proof of civil status.

• All
  documents must be filled in English or the Finnish official language.

• A
  police report stating that the applicant has a clean record and free from any criminal offenses.
