Julianna comes from comfortable background with a liberal arts diploma from Sarah Lawrence College. She supported herself by working as a waitress until she landed a role in Steven Seagal’s Out for Justice as a prostitute. A year later, she accepted the role of Nurse Hathaway which earned her an Emmy for Best Supporting Actress in 1994. Although she was choosy in her appearances in television and movies, she still managed to bag several acting awards. Her lead role in The Good Wife won her twice in the Screen Actors Guild Awards, and one each from Primetime Emmy, Golden Globe and TCA Award for Individual Achievement in Drama.
