Her father, Stefan Tkautz, is of Austrian origin, while her mother’s family is Maltese. She studied theatre, dancing, singing, modeling, and acting in commercials as a kid.
She had been featured in over 160 television and print ads by 17. Among these were advertisements for Qantas and Cadbury. In the late 1980s, she began modeling and later appeared in soap operas such as Richmond Hill and Home & Away.
