Elizabeth Rizzini is currently with her partner Frank Gardner, a BBC security correspondent who had paraplegia 16 years ago after being attacked by militants from Al Qaeda.
She was previously married. Her ex-husband was Italian, which she mentioned on her Twitter account in May 2016.
With her two daughters, two cats, and two guinea pigs—who occasionally appear on BBC Radio—Elizabeth currently resides in South London. She participated in the BBC2 documentary “Being Frank” by Curious Films about her partner Frank Gardner.
Sixteen years after being wounded and partially paralyzed by Al-Qaeda terrorists, the 60-year-old security journalist for the network spoke openly about the effects of his injuries in the incredibly personal video.
Frank was shot six times while covering terrorist activity in Saudi Arabia in 2004. He suffered a spinal nerve injury from one of the bullets, partially paralyzing both of his legs.
