Is Denzel Mims related to Marvin Mims, Oklahoma Sooner’s wide receiver? Find out if the New York Jets’ wide receiver has a brother or not.
Denzel Mims is an American footballer who represents the New York Jets in the National Football League (NFL).
At the Jets, he wears a no. 11 jersey and plays the position of a wide receiver. The Jets drafted him in the 2020 NFL Draft as the 2nd round, 59th overall pick.
Following the draft, Denzel missed most of his training camp courtesy of a hamstring injury. He then finally made his NFL debut in the match against the Buffalo Bills in Week 7.
His 2020-21 season was a promising rookie year, but the current season hasn’t been so far. Having a hard time earning a starting position, he has lined up on the offense for just 13 snaps. But, the player is in a positive mindset and looks hungry for an opportunity.
Mims talked all about his frustrating start to the season in an interview in October 2021.
Denzel Mims’ blood brother, as per his Instagram, is RJ Sneed II. Some reports suggest that he has three brothers.
RJ is a wide receiver at Baylor University. Are Denzel and Marvin Mims related in some way? Looking into their family background, it doesn’t seem so. But they do have the same surname, so is there any possibility?
As far as the relation between Denzel and Marvin goes, the report online doesn’t speak a word about it. And they being brothers also seem a bit far-fetched. But there is a possibility that the two may have the same ancestry or might even be some distant cousins.
Marvin, the wide receiver of the Oklahoma Sooners, is popping at the moment after he pulled that sensational catch in the Red River Rivalry against the Texas Longhorns. Such plays earned his team a comeback victory in the ever-so-exciting match against the Longhorns.
