American gold miner Dakota Fred Hurt was the star of the Discovery reality series Gold Rush.
After appearing on other Gold Rush spinoffs, such as Gold Rush: South America and Gold Rush: The Legend of Porcupine Creek, Hurt established himself as a television mainstay. Together with his son Dustin, he received his own spinoff through the 2018 film Gold Rush: White Water. The season finale of the show aired in June.
