Joan Jara had two daughters. One from her marriage with Victor Jara and the other from her previous marriage to Patricio Bunster.
Both Amanda Jara and Manuela Bunster have been part of Joan Jara’s life, witnessing and supporting her efforts in seeking justice for the atrocities committed during the Pinochet regime in Chile and carrying forward the legacy of Víctor Jara’s activism through their own contributions.
