Costa Georgiadis Beard

Costa has a beard which is a long beard that is somehow his individuality. He told News Corp Australia who”I don’t have a beard, a beard has me.” He doesn’t cut his beard just like his doctrine about the natural world around him he lets it prosper.

“I am not a fan of the hedged look, or even pruning. When you’ve got a species that you need to allow it to express itself along with my variety is exactly what it is. I simply don’t see myself with clippers and blades, creating shapes. Topiary, facial topiary is not my move.”

In addition, he disclosed that when he joined ABC for’Gardening Australia’ he was amazed by the”barbarous” personal attacks he received from some viewers owing to his beard.

“When I started with’Gardening Australia’ it had been fairly full-on since it had been altered and some change is difficult to manage, let alone in a conservative environment in which you had this unkempt feral… how can our ABC let this? .

I understand some people can’t get over it and always develop and say,’please, can’t you simply trim it? Can not you just this, can not you simply that?’ It’s kind of humorous. When you move into a public space, abruptly (the blossom ) becomes public as well. I mean, I don’t walk around people and say’get a nose job’ or’geez, you’re porking up a bit there, got a small winter coat on, I believe that you should go and get a personal trainer.’ But for people who have a problem with this, I don’t have a issue with that and people can say what they like.”

On June 30, 2019, Costa won Logie awards for Australia’s Most Popular Presenter. During his acceptance speech, he praised his team saying;”With an unbelievable team of people I’ve been lucky enough to travel the country and meet people doing things that are positive.”

He also added his outlined plans for his decoration;”It’s not collecting dust. I need it sitting on compost bins. I need it in community gardens. I want it going anywhere. This can be for you.”
