The Coffee Export Standardization Fund supports coffee farmers in Kenya to boost farming, including value addition, and fetch better prices in the international market. The Ministry of Agriculture and the German Technical Co-operation (GTZ) also promote private sector development in agriculture.
This is a bilateral program in which the promotion of biogas technology is funded by EU and GTZ. The project focuses on Nyanza, Western, Central and Rift Valley provinces. The biogas project targets small and medium rural dairy farmers, pastoralists and others to improve their living conditions and ensure adequate supply of energy.
