Beetlejuice Age

Beetlejuice was born on 2nd June 1968 in Jersey City, New Jersey in the United States. He is 51 years old as of 2019. His birth sign is Gemini.

Beetlejuice Height

Lester Green has a height of 1.3m.

Beetlejuice Family| Early Life

Beetlejuice was born as Lester Napoleon Green in Jersey City, New Jersey, to Christopher Palid and Laura Green. He was born with microcephaly, a medical condition in which the brain is under-developed and the head is smaller than normal. He also has a short stature at 1.3 meters but does not have the disproportionate limb size associated with dwarfism.

Realizing his multiple developmental issues, one of his uncles, a member of the Ringling Brothers circus freak show, had offered to take him into the show when he was only seven. However, his mother decided to educate him instead, which was fruitful as he was remarkably bright in school.

Beetlejuice

During his initial appearances on ‘The Howard Stern Show’, Beetlejuice explained that he got the name ‘Beetlejuice’ when he was part of a Dwarf-tossing act while growing up in the Marion Garden Projects in Jersey City.

Following the release of the 1988 Michael Keaton film ‘Beetlejuice’, children often irritated him by comparing him with the character whose head got shrunk by the Witch Doctor. The name not only stuck on, but he also became famous for it.

Beetlejuice Personal Life

Green was born with microcephaly, which gives him his characteristic small head relative to his already small body. On October 2, 2007, broadcast of The Howard Stern Show, Jerry O’Connell revealed that he knew Green while he was growing up. O’Connell’s mother was Green’s special education teacher at PS 31 in Jersey City, NJ, and Green was such a good student that he did special work as her assistant.

Beetlejuice Career

Beetlejuice’s first taste of fame came from the Howard Stern Show, where he appeared in 2001 as one of many colorful guests to appear on the show. Green sang This Is Beetle, also known as The Beetlejuice Song, on The Howard Stern Show in late 2004. Stern Show producer Richard Christy recorded the song, wrote music to accompany Green’s raw vocals, and then engineered it into the full song.

The key lyrics to the song are, “This is Beetle, he’s bad as can. He knows he’s the best.” The song, which Green created spontaneously in the recording studio, has been covered by the rock group Staind, who included the song on special editions of their album Chapter.

On September 19, 2005, Blues Traveler played their version of This Is Beetle on The Howard Stern Show. Initially, Stern was unable to broadcast this recording on his Sirius Satellite Radio program.

This is because CBS Radio owned the copyright to all of Stern’s shows from K-Rock. Stern and his production staff recreated many of the more popular segments from his days on K-Rock but attempts to recreate This Is Beetle were unsuccessful.

Later Career

However, in May 2006, Stern, Sirius, and CBS reached an agreement to sell the rights for all his K-Rock broadcasts to Sirius, thus enabling Stern to play the song. There was also a controversy around the share of potential profits from the song.

Green’s manager at the time, Sean Rooney, got into an argument with Gary Dell’Abate, the executive producer of The Howard Stern Show, regarding the percentage share of the profits between Green and Christy.

In 2002, Green appeared in rapper N.O.R.E.’s music video for the song Grimey and was featured on three songs on the hip-hop group Smut Peddlers’ 2001 debut album, Born Again, on the tracks “Beetlejuice Intro”, Pimpology by Beetlejuice, and Beetlejuice Outtakes on Rawkus Records.

What Happened To Beetlejuice

At an early age, it was noted that Lester would continue his life with multiple developmental issues, including dwarfism, growing to only 4’3”. He also has microcephaly which gives him his characteristic head much smaller than what would be considered proportional.

Hence his trademark dental issues. His first job offer was to join one of his uncles as a member of the Ringling Brothers circus freak show at the age of seven.  Unfortunately, his mother declined, instead opting to have him pursue an education.

Is Beetlejuice (Lester Green) Actually Mentally Challenged, Or Is It Part Of His Act?

I assume that his disability affects his mind, but as far as the times he was on the Howard Stern show it is mostly an act. If you watch videos of him and his late friend/manager Sean having conversations you can see that Beetle is some pretty aware. They also used to get him very drunk before most of his Stern show appearances.

Beetlejuice Relationship

In 2003, Beetlejuice made his appearance on ‘The Howard Stern Show’. Beetlejuice had a public affair with a Puerto Rican woman, who he introduced on the show as Babyjuice. According to Howard Stern, she looks like a little J-Lo. They briefly dated for four months in early 2003 before getting married in May 2003. They had an equally brief marriage that ended in divorce four months later.
