Ewan McGregor marries Mary Elizabeth Winstead in a ‘lovely and joyful’ outdoor ceremony. The couple, who have been together for over four years, officially tied the knot over the weekend.
The two stars met on the set of the television show Fargo in 2016, though they were both involved in other relationships at the time. Winstead ended her seven-year marriage to husband Riley Stearns in 2017 and McGregor filed for divorce from his wife of 22 years, Eve Mavarkis, in 2018.
Along with starting a new life together as official husband and wife, Winstead and McGregor can celebrate something else they share in common: their respective upcoming Star Wars projects Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ahsoka.
McGregor returns to the titular role of Kenobi in the series premiering next month, while Winstead will join galaxy veteran Hayden Christensen and Rosario Dawson (who she previously worked within 2007’s Deathproof) in the series set to start filming this summer.
