Australian-born retired basketball player Andrew Michael Bogut (28 November 1984) played the most of his career in the National Basketball Association (NBA).
The Milwaukee Bucks picked the 7-foot (213 cm) tall center with the first overall choice in the 2005 NBA Draft. In 2010, while playing with the Bucks, he was named to the NBA Third Team.
He was moved to the Golden State Warriors in 2012, and in 2015, when he helped the Warriors win the NBA title, he was nominated to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team.
Bogut spent two years playing collegiate basketball for the Utah Utes, winning national player of the year honors in 2005.
He entered the NBA draft and was selected #1 overall, making him the first Australian to hold that position in the NBA.
