Requirements
- The Algerian tourist visa is issued to foreign nationals who intend to travel to Algeria for tourism, vacation, visiting friends and relatives, or other leisure activities.
- You are required to accurately complete 1 visa application form and sign it. An incomplete or incorrectly completed application forms may delay the processing of your visa request.
- 2 passport-size photos (2×2 inches) taken with a white background must be submitted with the completed visa application forms.
- Your confirmed travel itinerary must be detailed, showing entry into and exit from Algeria. You are advised to not purchase a flight ticket until the visa is granted.
- You are also required to show proof of hotel or private accommodation in Algeria for the duration of your stay.
- If you are visiting friends, relatives or travelling to Algeria to join a tour organiser, you are to submit a letter of invitation stating your name and the purpose of your visit to Algeria.
- Non-Ethiopians are to present proof of legal stay in the country, such as a residence permit.

Requirements
- Ethiopians planning to travel to Algeria for business purposes are required to apply for an Algerian business visa.
- A business visa holder is allowed to attend business meetings, conferences, summits, trade fairs and also sign business contracts in Algeria.
- A visa application form must be completed fully and accurately to avoid any delay in visa request processing.
- Proof of hotel reservation for the duration of your stay in the country must be submitted.
- Copy of valid travel insurance must also be submitted.
- An original business letter on your company’s letterhead stating your name, your role in the company, the purpose of your travel to Algeria and how long your stay will be must be provided.
- The business letter, which must be signed by an authorised officer of your company, must also give a guarantee that the company will be responsible for all your travel expenses.
- A copy of your confirmed travel itinerary must be provided. Business travellers are advised to not purchase a flight ticket until the visa is granted.
- An original letter of invitation from the partner company in Algeria serving as your host must be submitted. The letter must state the nature of the business to be performed in Algeria, how long you will stay in the country and the host’s contact details.
- Holders of the business visa should note that this visa does not permit them to take up paid employment in Algeria.
- Unless you have an Ethiopian diplomatic or official passport, you are to apply for this visa if travelling to Algeria for any business activity.
Algeria Work Visa Eligibility &
Requirements
- Ethiopians who intend to travel to Algeria to work must apply for An Algerian work visa.
- You should apply for a work visa only if you have received an employment offer from a company in Algeria.
- A visa application form must be completed accurately, signed and submitted with 2 recently-taken passport photos.
- A copy of your flight itinerary should also be submitted.
- An invitation letter from your employer in Algeria should be submitted. The letter should state your full name, the job you will be doing, your salary and a copy of your employment contract.
- You are required to submit the original copies of your work permit and letter of repatriation, issued by the Algerian authorities department of labour.
- You should contact your employer so as to get your work permit. Without a work permit and proof of employment in Algeria, you may not be granted the work visa.
- You must also show proof of payment of the visa fee. The work visa costs $190 for processing.
- A police report showing no criminal record must be submitted by the applicant. A pending police case may delay the processing of your visa request.
- Proof of accommodation for the duration of your stay in the country should be provided.
